This is a beautiful view of a sunrise from my parent's backyard, and yes I know that such shots are over done and kind of cliche, but I have always loved this particular one anyway.
I remember the very first time I held my first camera and snapped my first picture with it. It made me feel almost on top of the world as I caught a moment on film, a moment that would stay in my memory forever even though the picture is lost to the memory now.
I used that camera, an Olympus OM-1, through my high school and college classes and still have it to this day. It had been a gift from my dad, my very first manual camera, and I still use it every once in a while when I want the challenge that taking pictures with a manual camera presents to the photographer.
I have had a passion for photography ever since I took that first picture and I am hardly ever without some way to take pictures wherever I go. I love the expression I can present of myself through my photo's and the excitement and happiness I can give others by catching their life's moments on film for them.
